Linux in the Astronomy Group
The BYU Astronomy Research Group provides seven computers running Linux (Ubuntu 6.06) for all astronomy students to use various astronomy reduction software packages that are only available in a UNIX-type environment.
Please do not turn these computers off when you are done working. They have to be running at all times in order for IRAF networking to work for others.
The seven computers (Location) are:
- Dalek (N479 ESC)
- Davros (N479 ESC)
- Timelord (N479 ESC)
- Gallifrey (N479 ESC)
- Knine (N479 ESC)
- Rassilon (N485 ESC)
- Sidrat (N504 A ESC)
