The Orson Pratt Observatory is located on the 5th and 6th floor of the Eyring Science Center, right in the heart of the BYU Provo Campus. A 16" ASKO telescope, donated to the University by Mr. David Derrick, was installed March 26, 1998. The main body of the telescope was lifted in from the outside by a crane. The tube containing the mirrors was carried up and attached to the body.
