Overview of Lists

Astronomy Email Lists

The Astronomy Group has three emails lists it uses for communication and announcements. Below are the descriptions of each of them. Use the links on the left to navigate to forms for subscriptions to these lists.

Astronomy Research

The Astronomy Research list is for group meeting announcements and related. If someone wants email reminders about when and where meetings will be held, they are encouraged to subscribe to this list.

Astronomical Society

The Astronomical Society list is for meeting and activity announcements for the BYU Astronomical Society. Anyone who is currently a member of the society or anyone interested in becoming a member should subscribe to this list.

TARDIS

The TARDIS email list is people who have accounts on the astronomy Linux computers. It is an informative list that notifies users of items they need to know about such as downtime or newly installed programs. When students have their TARDIS accounts initially set up, they are automatically put on this list. Students can then edit their account as needed. If accounts are deleted, students will automatically be removed from this list.
